Jose Juan Diaz, DO, is a board-certified physician who specializes in physical medicine, rehabilitation, and pain medicine. At his Fort Lauderdale, Florida, practice, Integrative Spine & Sports, Dr. Diaz treats the whole person and not just the ailment, using a combination of Eastern and Western practices for optimal results.
Dr. Diaz began his medical career by earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from The New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, Long Island, New York, in 2001. During his residency at Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Health, he was the administrative chief resident in 2005.
Not stopping there, Dr. Diaz earned his board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as pain medicine. He’s also board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In addition, Dr. Diaz is licensed as an acupuncturist and is formally trained in nutrition, sports medicine, electrodiagnostic studies, and spine and joint interventions.
Dr. Diaz maintains memberships in the American Association of Integrative Medicine, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electro-diagnostic Medicine, the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Academy of Osteopathic Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Osteopathic Association, among others.
